12 new ETCs launched on Xetra

15 March 2012. 12 new exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) issued by ETFS Hedged Commodity Securities Limited are now tradable on Xetra.

Investors can participate in the performance of individual commodities such as Brent crude, natural gas, gold, copper, silver, wheat, and WTI crude oil and baskets of commodities such as agriculture, precious metals, and all commodities in the DJ UBS Commodity subindex family. These new ETCs provide hedging against exchange rate fluctuations with the US dollar. The total expense ratio is 1.21% in each case.

Two further Exchange Traded Commodities issued by ETF Securities (ETFS Commmodity Securities Limited) offer investors the possibility to participate in the performance of Brent Crude. The total expense ratio is 0.99% in each case.

Deutsche Börse’s ETC segment product range currently comprises 263 instruments. The monthly trading volume of ETCs on Xetra averages around €900 million.
